“I loved Joseph Sutton’s Highway Sailor. especially his fresh voice with its quirky wisdom and poetic imagery, such as: ‘A man, when he’s sailing along the highways of America, notices little things. He notices how strong the spring winds of Georgia are as he passes a dead raven in the middle of the highway, its long black wings fluttering as if it were about to take off again.’” —Delia Moon, publisher of Petaluma River Press

I often found myself substituting the word Artist for Writer and it translated brilliantly. His book is so valuable that it will help ‘artists’ of any medium.” —Heidi Hornberger, sculptor.

“I was so engrossed reading The Year the Giants Won the Series by San Francisco writer Joseph Sutton at the San Diego airport that I missed my flight. What I gained from reading it was that the most essential ingredient for the success of a baseball team, a father-son relationship and the nation as a whole comes down to one word: TEAMWORK. Oh, the possibilities.” —Ann Walker, fine artist, San Diego
